The Occupational Health service will organise a number of key health campaign
throughout each year. A Health Promotion Calendar will be produced each year
detailing the planned promotion activities to coincide with World Health
Organisation and Department of Health initiatives.
Through health promotion and health education the service seeks to promote
the benefits of a healthy lifestyle to the workforce. The Occupational Health
Service involvement will consist of:
The provision of a health education Programme which provides information
to challenge existing attitudes to health and promotes skills to enable
employees to change their behaviour
Advice on the provision of specific health promotion campaigns including
Programme planning, delivery and evaluation
Assisting client develop further in achieving workplace health scheme
awards.
